man sees his fishing pole getting dragged out to sea

Don’t let this be you!

Sand Barb will make you give away your other sand spikes. A few twists and you are ready to fish with confidence.

Rod security, with ease

Easily twists into the sand with its auger tip.

Rugged materials

The coupler, T-handle and holder tube are powder-coated aluminum. The rod and auger are stainless steel for additional strength and will not bend, even with a large fish, a long pole and tight drag. Where the two are joined, the steel rod is coated in zinc to prevent galvanic corrosion.

Quality build and feel

Why trust your go-to rod to cheap plastic, flimsy pieces of metal, and/or a few undersized rivets. Sand Barb will feel like a high-quality, tactical-grade piece of craftsmanship in your hands.

Sustainability

Feel good that you are not contributing another piece of plastic to this world.

Travel friendly

- Breaks down for easier portability and storage.

- Hemp carrying bag (also sustainable) (not sure if this will be optional or included)

Dimensions

35.5 inches long when assembled, rod and coupler are xx inches long and the tube is xx inches long. The interior of the tube is xx inches wide.

The Sand Barb Story

I remember chasing my rod into Long Island Sound – I was extremely lucky to grab it in time before a striper took it out to sea. I was using a piece of PVC plastic tube attached to some rebar with hose clamps, and one of the clamps failed. That was my first attempt to improve upon my three-foot piece of PVC that I always found difficult to secure in the sand. It occurred to me a sand spike with an auger at one end would be ideal in all types of beach conditions. Somebody ought to invent that! When I was laid off at age 62, I decided to be that somebody.
